RESEARCH IN SPACE PHYSICS CREDIT OFFERED: 1-3 HOURS phsx 501 OR 503 SALARY OFFERED: Negotiable hourly salary, possibly after a trial period CONTACT PERSON: Prof. T. Cravens (cravens@ku.edu) PREREQUISITE COURSES: PHSX 313 DESIRED SKILLS: Some prior experience with computer programming would be helpful but is not essential. DESCRIPTION OF JOB: Possible jobs include: (1) assisting in organization of data taken in the atmosphere of Titan by the Cassini Ion and Neutral Mass Spectrometer instrument, (2) assisting in the development and running of computer codes simulating the ionosphere of Titan, (3) assisting in the development and running of computer codes for x-ray emission from the planets and comets. |
